Kulur, September 8, 2025: The Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) members of Kulur
Parish led the traditional distribution of sugarcane and sweets to parishioners on the Feast of the
Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, following the solemn Eucharistic celebration on Monday.
The gesture, rooted in the spirit of unity and gratitude, was warmly received by the faithful as an
expression of shared joy. To ensure cleanliness and quality, the ICYM took the initiative a day
earlier, on Sunday, September 7, to clean and bundle the sugarcane, which arrived soiled with
mud.
A large number of youth joyfully came together for the task, underscoring their enthusiasm and
commitment to parish traditions. Their dedication not only enhanced the festive celebrations but
also symbolized the active role of young people in sustaining communal harmony and devotion.
Parishioners expressed appreciation for the ICYM’s efforts, noting how their service and zeal
added a memorable touch to the annual Marian feast.
