Kuloor, April 18, 2025 — A solemn and prayerful atmosphere enveloped St Antony Church, Kulur, as the parish observed the Good Friday ceremony on April 18 at 5:00 PM. The service commemorated the Passion and Crucifixion of Jesus Christ and drew a large number of faithful from the parish and surrounding areas.
Fr Ajith Menezes, the Administrator of Fr Muller Medical College, was the main celebrant for the ceremony. He was joined by the Parish Priest, Fr Victor Vijay Lobo, and the Headmaster of Kulur High School, Fr Arun J Mendonca, who concelebrated the liturgy.
The highlight of the ceremony was the Exposition of the Cross, followed by the Veneration of the Cross by the faithful. The congregation participated with deep devotion, reflecting on the immense sacrifice of Christ for humanity. The atmosphere was one of solemn silence, reverence, and heartfelt prayer as the community united in commemorating this sacred day.
The Good Friday service is part of the Holy Week observances and prepares the faithful for the celebration of Easter, the resurrection of Jesus.
