Kulur, Aug 31, 2025: Showcasing their commitment to social responsibility, the ICYM
Kulur Unit organized a cleanliness drive at two bus stands in Kulur on Sunday. The
initiative aimed to spread the message that maintaining a clean environment is vital for
a healthy and responsible community.
Dozens of youth volunteers actively took part by sweeping the premises, removing litter,
and properly disposing of waste. During the drive, the team also rescued a stray cat,
which was later adopted by member Anshel Annie D’Souza. Their efforts left the bus
stands visibly cleaner and more welcoming for daily commuters.
Speaking at the event, ICYM leaders stressed that such initiatives not only enhance
public spaces but also motivate citizens to contribute to society’s well-being. Local
residents and passengers appreciated the work and pledged to support future
cleanliness efforts.
The event concluded with a renewed commitment to continue similar service-oriented
activities, echoing the ICYM motto: “Youth in Action for a Better Society.”
