Kulur, 14 July 2024 – The Bible Commission of St. Antony Church, Kulur, hosted a community Bible reading event featuring the Gospel of Luke today. The event began with a ceremonial procession of the Holy Bible, which was adorned with a garland of flowers by Sr. Janet Lobo UFS, convener of the Bible Commission and Superior at Samudra Tare Convent, Kulur.
Fr. Victor Vijay Lobo, the Parish Priest, introduced the Gospel of Luke to the congregation. Following this, 24 chapters of Luke’s Gospel were read by 24 individuals from 15 wards of the parish. The event saw enthusiastic participation from many parishioners, and the parish choir provided musical accompaniment throughout the program.
The community reading aimed to deepen the parishioners’ connection to the scriptures and strengthen the sense of community within the church.
